I cannot believe I'm housebound on this wonderfully snowy saturday!
I was actually headed out to box in this weather with my snowshoes
(how beautiful and quiet it would be in the woods with the snow
falling) AND knowing it would be snowing well into tomorrow, my
tracks would be blanketed so as not to give away my path,A perfect
situation! however my husband told me I was losing my mind and
grounded me for the weekend! :(
Ah well, I'll have to look forward to next weekend!
let it snow, snow, snow, snow, snow......

I don't know where you live but we went out about noon. My daughter just had
to do some Christmas shopping. So we got dressed and walked to town just to
find that KBee Toys was closed as most of the stores. Walgreens was open and
I was successful even if I did't want to go . Anyway, it was a very very hard
walk & we were not very smart in going out. You were right in staying put.

it is a blizzard out there, kstar. I was going to plant a new box
yesterday but decided to wait because I didn't want my brand new box
buried under a foot of snow. I want spring!!!

We got buried by the snow as well. I thought I was done boxing until the
spring - it never even occurred to me that you could still box in the winter.
But snowshoes - of coarse - how beautiful the woods will be......
Inspired newbie in NH!

Poor baby! (not being sarcastic)
We snowshoe too, and even though we only find about half the boxes we look for in the snowy winter, it doesn't take the pleasure out
of hunting for them! I LOVE the snow-blanketed woods, especially when it's fresh or still snowing and its covering all the branches.
Ahhh.

Ummm... he just now decided you are losing your mind? ;-)
I have never been motivated enough to try snowshoes, but I've boxed with you and you aren't too insane. I'm wondering if Dan and I (or maybe just I) came up your way to grab some of those shirts we talked about, maybe you might want to show me the basics of snowshoeing? I am afraid that I am becoming a fuddyduddy and not getting out much at all. A trip to see you, grab a box or two, and see if snowshoes are something I will not spaz out on would be very good for my inner child. Email me if you are interested!
